- Barack Hussein Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii to a mother from Kansas and a father from Kenya.
- He is a politician, former Senator of Illinois representing the 13th district (1997 - 2004), former U.S. Senator (2005 - 2008), the former 44th President of the United States (running 2 terms from 2009 - 2017), an attorney, author, and soon maybe the Supreme Court Justice. He was the first African American to become President.
- He graduated from Columbia University in 1983 and then invested within the community as an organizer in Chicago for about 5 years.
- In 1988, he enrolled in Harvard Law School where he became the first African American to be president of the Harvard Law Review.
- After graduating from Law School, he became a civil rights attorney and an academic. He taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.
- In 2004, he won his March Senate primary and gave the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.
- He was nominated by the Democratic Party a year after his campaign began for President in 2008.
- In 2008, he won the Presidential Election receiving the most votes than any other candidate in history.
- He was inaugurated on January 20, 2009, with his Vice President at the time, Joe Biden.
- He was named 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
- As President, one of Obama's main reforms he is well known for is his Affordable Care Act, also known as "Obamacare"; and the tremendous Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 during the Great Recession in the U.S.
- A huge great victory was the assassination of Osama Bin Laden and suspected Yemeni Al-Qaeda operative Anwar al-Awlaki during the War in Iraq and Afghanistan as the result of the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
- In 2012, he advocated for gun control due to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
- Another one for the books of inclusion, he legalized same-sex marriages for LGBT Americans in 2015 by deeming the bans as unconstitutional.
- He is still known as the President who saved the Automotive Industry when it was at a time of becoming nonexistent at a time of economic crisis.
- During his term, he has created the most jobs in the country in American History.
- Before departing from his Presidency, he set the country in course to a clean energy future.
- His Presidency still held of high importance during the time of the Trump Administration and still regarded as highly favorable for his deeds while being examined by historians, political scientists, and the general public.
- He is quite the entertainer and strives to be humorous in his public appearances through his wacky sense of humor and his singing.
- He has a handful of books within his collection: "Dreams From My Father" (1995), "The Audacity of Hope" (2006), "Change We Can Believe In: Barack Obama's Plan to Renew America's Promise" (2008), and his newest work - A Promised Land (2020).
