A rhyming riddle haiku to go with the traditional Christmas song:

On the sixth day of Christmas,

my true love gave to me...

honk and hink they are saying,

roots, stems, seeds, okaying,

six geese a-laying,

five golden rings,

four calling birds,

three French hens,

two turtle doves,

and a partridge in a pear tree.

Fun Fact About Gingerbread Houses

Gingerbread used to be sold outside of churches in Europe in the 17th century. They were used as a work of art to form molded creations of people, animals, and things. It became well known and widely used specifically in the form of a house after the popular children's bedtime Grimm story of "Hansel and Gretel" was released.

Human Rights Day

Intending fairness,

World theme for equality,

owed to everyone.

Note: There's still such a long way to go who have had their rights revoked legally and illegally even during this Pandemic.

Fact from the United Nations Website -

https://www.un.org/en/observances/human-rights-day

The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 stating that everyone is entitled to be a human being regardless of our differences. Some of those differences included within the document are:

* Race
*Colour
*Religion
*Sex
*Language
*Political or other opinion
*National or social origin
*Property

Since 1874

Used to promise Spring,

now for a Merry Christmas,

greetings to loved ones.

Christmas Card Fun Fact:

Cards were first written for helping others transition to the season of Spring from Winter and providing good wishes along with a good season to come in the last 1800s. A bit different than how we use cards today during the Christmas holiday season, but also similar in the fact that we use them to provide happy greetings to the people we love.
